While many protesters raised their voices and shouted slogans and songs against bad leaders horrible governance, corruption and social injustice in Lebanon, some used artistic expression, a quieter yet equally and sometimes more powerful tool to inspire hope and demand change. Since the protests erupted October 17, numerous artists have taken their art tools and skills to express their stances the way they do best with hundreds of images, photos, paintings, cartoons and graffiti produced to illustrate the events, many using walls of the cities as their canvas and other using social media to express their art.
Today I decided to share some of my favorite street art speaking in colors and drawings the pain we are living in and the dream we wish to achieve from this nation wide long awaited awakening.
