The vibrant city of Beirut has never failed to summon artists and intellectuals to its picturesque Mediterranean shores. Although Lebanon’s so-called golden age—a period rife with tourists, Hollywood celebrities, casinos, and an all-out glamorous ambiance–peaked decades ago, over the past several years there’s been a resurgence of creative energy, particularly in the fields of art and design.
Staying loyal to its roots back in 2017, the third edition of the Beirut Design Fair has showcased the diversity of present-day Lebanese design scene and increasing national pride through proving Beirut once again the bastion of Middle Eastern Design. Nearly 36.000 visitors discovered the fair which ended on the 22nd September 2019 at the Seaside Arena in parallel with Beirut Art Fair.

The combination of the Beirut Design Fair with the Beirut Art Fair (which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year ) was unanimously appreciated by the exhibitors, as well as being enthusiastically welcomed by the visitors.
The level at the 3rd edition of BDF has risen significantly, in accordance with the objectives of the organizers and the Selection Committee which was noticed all around the space that was filled with creative vibes merging iconic talents with emerging ones under one roof. The fair demonstrates the legitimacy and growth of Lebanon’s creativity in the international design scene, as well as the appetite of the local market for quality furniture and objects presented with it.
